Margot & Collins

EMMA GILLIAM: Can you introduce each other say how old you are?

MARGOT: This is my friend Collins. She is really kind and silly.

COLLINS: This is my friend Margot. She is very serious and silly.

M: I’m 6.

C: I’m 5.

EG: How did you guys meet?

COLLINS & MARGOT: We met when we were… babies.

M: In the Orange Fish class at our preschool.

EG: Do you remember how old you were?

M: Zero.

EG: Did you guys become best friends immediately?

C: We had to kinda like talk and meet each other.

M: Yeah. It took some time.

C: 5 days.

M: Yeah. 5 days.

EG: How did you guys know when you were best friends?

M: We started playing a lot.

EG: What’s y’all’s favorite thing to do together?

C: Um, we really like

M: To walk around the house or the playground and just talk about everything.

C: And play puzzles. We like to build castles. And turn on the music and have dance parties.

M: And dance like we just don’t care. (starts dancing and falls) Ow.

C: (to Margot) Are you ok?

M: We have “sleepunders.”

C: It’s where you stay for like a couple of hours, and you watch like one to two movies. One time, when we were at her house we watched “Beethoven” and “Minions.” And at my house we watched “Inside Out.” We watch a lot of movies.

EG: What’s y’all’s favorite thing about each other?

C: I like that Margot’s a kind friend.

M: I like that Collins is silly and kind.

EG: What’s y’all’s favorite memory together?

C: Well, one time we did go on vacation together.

M: Yeah, we went to… um… um… Barton Creek. We went in the lake. It was so cold.

C: (to Margot) Wasn’t that funny when a parent jumped in and was like ‘Ahh I’m cold!’

M: (to Collins) I think it was my dad!

EG: Have you guys ever gotten into a fight?

C: No-

M: Yes.

C: We fighted who was older, but then we figured out Margot is older, right?

M: Yes.

C: Even though I was taller.

M: Yeah, you were taller. But you are not older than me.
